It is "VERY" important that I thank Stan, the Jerry Canttrel roadie who escorrted me backstage. I also need to thank member of Metallica's crew (I wish I knew your name) who went backstage and brought Stan out to see me. Without your help, I would not be writing this report. Soooo, without further delay... My Exclusive one on one with Chris DeGarmo :

Empirecc50: oh my god where do i begin????

Londony: with chris LOL

Empirecc50: LOL

Empirecc50: The show was played at this great big polo field. the stage was Metallica's own personal stage... It was huge!!!

Londony: LOL thier stage usually is

Empirecc50: It had an orange "reload" album cover backdrop covering the entire back wall from top to bottom.. like the reload cover

Londony: orange, nice

Empirecc50: the show was schedualed to start at 7... got there about 630. Immediately upon arriving I began searching frantically for someone from Jerry's security / road crew

Londony: did you find anyone?

Empirecc50: im getting there sunshine LOL

Londony: okay

Empirecc50: We proceded up to the stage area where a good size crowd was already forming. I asked on of the guys that had a metallica crew pass on him. He said he didnt know Jerry... I was thinking to myself "What???"

Londony: ?? that's odd

Empirecc50: I was PROUDLY showing off our plaque.. and asked him who i needed to talk to

Empirecc50: he said hang on wait here

Empirecc50: where was i going to go??? LOL

Londony: LOL

Empirecc50: about 6-8 mintes later out walks this guy who introduced himself as Stan, the head roadie for Jerry Cantrell

Londony: what happened next?

Empirecc50: I very proudly showed him the plaque... he was shocked that we had done something so nice for him. He said "You want me to give it to him?"

Empirecc50: I said "Well.. I'd realy like to give it to him in person..."

Empirecc50: motioning me to follow him backstage, he said "Ok come on."... I was shanking like a leaf!!

Londony: I bet, i would have been

Empirecc50: he took me back to the trailer and said wait here. I stood there for about ten minutes.. There was someone practicing guitar rifts in the trailer. it sounded like JC's style and guitar so i thought it was JC

Londony: cool, i wouldn't have minded standing there

Empirecc50: the music stopped and a few moments later Stan came out with this guy wearing a white tank.. dark olive-green kakiae pants a black ball cap dark brown hair.. short and straight.. a full muatache and neaty trimmed goatee

Londony: degarmo green LOL

Empirecc50: LOL yeah

Empirecc50: His smile was unmistakable

Londony: that would be chris

Empirecc50: that would be chris!!!

Empirecc50: he looks like a completely new man

Empirecc50: he looked.. dare i say.. "fine" !!! Londony: LOL

Empirecc50: the first thing that caught my eye was the tat... it was very nice

Londony: tribel band right

Empirecc50: I dont know how.. but by the grace of god i managed to say.. "We've made this plaque for you and we want you yo know how much we appreciate you..."

Londony: what did he say

Empirecc50: "He said Oh man Thank you.. WOW" over and over

Empirecc50: for once in his life Chris Degarmo was speechless

Londony: LOL

Empirecc50: After that.. I asked him.. Didnt you get the message we sent you about the fanste?

Empirecc50: he said "Fansite?"

Empirecc50: I said.. Yeah!! The Chris DeGarmo Fansite

Londony: what did he say

Empirecc50: He said "The Chris DeGarmo Fansite??"

Empirecc50: I said yeah we creeated your fansite

Empirecc50: He again aid "The Chris DeGarmo Fansite??"

Empirecc50: He was genuinely surprised and touched

Londony: cool

Empirecc50: I then said "were getting email daily asking about you and what youre up to. Any plans for a solo albm??"

Londony: what did he say

Empirecc50: You should have seen his face light up!!!!

Empirecc50: There is definately plans in the works!!! but...

Londony: what

Empirecc50: He officially gave me this quote

Empirecc50: "I usually dont like to talk about these things until they're set"

Empirecc50: so we wait patiently LOL..

Londony: how long did you get to talk to him?

Empirecc50: ~ 10 min

Londony: cool

Empirecc50: yeah... Stan AND CHRIS!!! both walked back with me to the front area.. he hugged me...again (did i mention he hugged me!!!) and again said thank you. I made him promise to treasure the plaque. He did.
